Windy37
This arrived today . Who would have thought you can buy reasonably priced Group B rally car models so long after they were actually rallied ? Great box artwork too . Gary .
Pete in Lincs
My Revell flower power VW microbus arrived today from Amazon. Got it for about six quid off retail in their warehouse deals and it's all as new and untouched. It may well be the next build, as a crewcab custom pickup. BTW, Chargers. No one has mentioned the original 1967 version. https://assets.hemmings.com/story_image/[email protected]?rev=2 Not the prettiest of cars. I built one years ago as an El Camino version. In purple. Wanna picture? Oh, and... http://weeklyspectator.tumblr.com/image/175183430094

If you'd have told me a few years ago that I would have had an Audi Sport Quattro S1 and a Lancia Delta S4 in plastic and in my hands I'd have laughed at you. But yeah, so glad to have Beemax and Belkits releasing my Group 'B' dreams from the 80's. Why it took so long is beyond me. They seem very popular subjects. I can't see why Tamiya or Hasegawa overlooked them for all these years..
Windy37
Yes . Makes me wonder which department at Audi , Lancia etc . was convinced it would be a good idea to allow kits to be made of 30 year old environmentally unfriendly , health and safety nightmarish white elephants !!! I want to meet that person and shake his hand !! Gary .
Rob G
I'm away from home this weekend, visiting the next club down the road's annual show (a mere 3 1/2 hour drive). They have their swap meet on the Friday evening, and I scored 2 Corollas (Tamiya and Hasegawa) for $50 the pair as well as a Tamiya Impreza WRC for 15 (it's missing the seats, but no worries there). Vive le rallye! I also added to the Matchbox collection (IT'S NOT A COLLECTION! - say it like Arnie from the kindergarten movie, it's much funnier that way), but they're all wingy things so of no interest here. All in all, well worth the drive.

Keith The claims that electric vehicles are environmentally friendly have always seemed dubious to me since the electricity they're powered by is mainly generated by burning of fossil fuels & nuclear fission - just how environmentally friendly is that ? I live near Drax power station which now burns wood pellets rather than coal . Only the pellets come from Canada shipped to Immingham docks in diesel powered ships then moved to Drax on diesel powered trains . How can this be environmentally friendly ? AR918
Hi all, Saw this on eBay for £12, bid it up to just over £15. It was one of those bizarre auctions that end past midnight and to prove how crazed we can get over some plastic in a box, I set my alarm so I could wake up and bid at the last minute... Yes, I need help but it's an RD500LC (almost). All the best.
Chrissy_J
You did well to score that for fifteen quid! If I'd known about it I'd have been in competition with you... As for me, I've just bought another Lotus Super 7, the Tamiya 1/24 kit, from eBay. Sadly, not as cheap (at £26) as the last one I bought, but I had to have it.
Spiny
A bit of money went out of my account... and a couple of kits are joining the stash As I've read good things about both kits, here's hoping they live up to expectations.

The 300SL can only be described as a work of art, just have a look at the tubular frame in the box. Stunning. Anyhoo, picked up this lovely C10 Skyline kit whilst in London. It might be a bit pricy but what you get is well worth the money, turned metal carburettor funnels, a PE set and plastic upgrades to the car. Brilliant. Right, less buying and more building... All the best.

I agree that this Skyline looks a lovely kit - funnily enough this will be my next project once the Charger is complete and I'm looking at the partway-painted body now. I agree it's not the cheapest of kits (even though it looks well worth it), but would point you in the direction of Hiroboy where I got mine from if you want to save a little on that £37.50 on future kits.

fightersweep
A couple of new purchases that landed this week, with a few more to follow... honda civic revell_escort_xr3-vi Tamiya sierra Already got cracking on the XR3i. Not a bad little kit as far as I can tell. Ceratainly seems better than the AMT kit. The Honda Civic is a cracking kit. First recent Hasegawa kit I've bought, and I'm mightily impressed! JeroenS
Birthday today; daughter went to the store and look what she got me @The Spadgent 🙂 It's the wrong model year for Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino which was a '72, but she likes that movie so it will have to be painted green.
