Italeri are RE releasing it this year 😉 Ashley In that case I will buy gazillions of them! **just wondering............the last repop was by Revell so why Italeri this time around ? They are also releasing the ex ESCI Renault 5 Alpine and the EX Nitto Lancia Stratos Safari. Basically Revell and Italeri are near enough partners as they commonly reboxed each others kits and I believe Italeri brought a lot of the old ESCI Toolings when they folded, being an Italian Company as well. And at the time of the Revell boxing, they were commonly re boxing Hasegawa rally car kits, so releasing the Escort made sense even though Italeri owns the tooling. I do wish they'd re-release the Esci Lancia Beta Monte Carlo. One of the few kits I've always wanted but never been able to get (without now paying stupid e-bay prices that is!) Shaun The Nitto one that Italeri have is 1/24. I built their boxing when it was released about 10 years ago. Hasegawa one is more accurate anyway. 1 hour ago, keefr22 said: I do wish they'd re-release the Esci Lancia Beta Monte Carlo. I've heard rumours that some ex esci Toolings made there way as far a field as Iraq if you can believe that 😮 Ashley
keefr22
True enough - at least the bit about whether they have the tooling or not! K
MetroRacing
Yeah I'm not sure if I believe the Iraq bit but it's what I read somewhere lol. The transit Toolings were believed to be lost until Italeri repoped it last year. So I suspect they have all the Toolings personally lol. Timbo343
Bought this off ebay for £2.12 with delivery of £2.95. I think the seller may have tried to put the price up by 2.12 but instead set it to 2.12 as when i came back to view the orginal listing is had gone up to ~£11. helios16v
I might be a little ecstatic. Shipping may have been half the cost of the kit...but shipped cost was still less than I had been able to find first run kits for before shipping. I've been looking to pick up some of the old similr kits again after selling them to a friend a few years ago. #bigmistake Shaun
helios16v
Yeah, I've been wanting this kit for a couple years now. By the time I saw the kit, they were already out of production and stock. Second hand ones were going for $100-150 before shipping...which was more than I could justify for someone of my meager skills. It still wasn't cheap, but still far less than the prices I was balking at. Didn't want to miss it this go around. I stumbled across it by pure chance. Probably should've bought a lottery ticket. roymattblack
It's am amazing kit. It will strain your eyeballs and patience, but it's worth the effort. Here's my little effort from a few years ago. I've been tempted to build another in a different colour scheme.

People will normally say won on purchases as most guys on here know how/where to get stuff cheaper than retail, surely if you get stuff for less than what it should cost it's classed as a win lol just my opinion Shaun
