Hi folks,I'm at the decalling stage on Revell/ICM's Tu-144,two types of burner can were supplied I used the traditional(looks

like a Phantom's) rather than the smooth with a large bulbous centre fitted,Trawling round the web I cant find which serials

matched the ones I,ve used! It looks like possibly Revels choices of serials differs from ICM's as a build on finescale has

codes not on the Revell sheet with the cans I used, any help would by appreciated.

The one "with" cones is Tu-144D, The first Tu-144D wore CCCP-77111, i.e. you can use 77101 to 77110 except 77105 that was converted to "D" specification.

77109 and 77110 were the only ones that flew with PAX

There were no 77104 as it was registered as 77144

By series:

01-1 - 77101

01-2 - 77102

02-1 - 77103

02-2 - 77144

03-1 - 77105 converted to "D"

04-1 - 77106

04-2 - 77108

05-1 - 77107

05-2 - 77109

06-1 - 77110

All these planes were slightly different, probably the most prominent difference being the lack of wing tips on some machines - I don't remember the story, can verify, if needed

Many Thanks Alexey,I can make the codes from those supplied, despite a lot of folk treating the kit with trepidation so far I've found it very enjoyable

here's where I am with her now.

With this style of the cheatline you cannot do 77101, 77102 and 77103 as they carried the tail flag in a different position and had red "Ty" logo and door outlines

CCCP-77102.jpg

You can do 77144-77110 but you need to make sure your wingtip configuration is correct

Does anyone know if both wingtip types are included in the kit, and if so, what parts should be used for which version?

Just got myself an ICM Tu-144D (14402) and I'm planning to build OOB as 77112 (I must be ill, OOB and non whif?, that's not me!?) as I have a hankering for something with bare metal engines.

My question is, does anybody know if the Bra.Z Kolesov RD36-51A exhaust nozzles have hollow centre cones or is it solid like the kit parts?

Hollow, as I remember. Can take a look, they are lurking somewhere in the spare box

Just a thought, are they worth buying? Seeing as you have a set lurking in the spares box?

I did not buy them separately, long before ICM Ivo from BraZ has released full resin kit that contained exhausts for both A and D versions
