Blitzbuild GB Rules

Welcome to the Blitzbuild GB.

This groupbuild was suggested by Black Knight, who came up with the basic rules.

When: 0001 hours on Saturday 27 August to 2359 hours on Monday 29 August (UK time) Timed nicely to keep us occupied over the bank holiday. No... the grass doesn't need mowing. No... the window frames don't need painting. No... the car doesn't need washing.

Method:

There are two roads to glory:

A. Pick a 24 hour time slot and build an un-started kit of any scale, the aim is to finish the kit in the 24 hour slot.

D. Build an un-started kit over two 12 hour sessions, with no more than 12 hours between the two sessions,

Start a WIP thread with a start photo showing the time, ( a mobile phone/tablet screen/computer screen will suffice), then as many progress pics as you want (but at least six) and finally a finish photo again showing the time.

Bonus kudos points will be given for uniqueness of the clock, the on-plate presentation of the meals to be consumed and other things like great music videos etc. All the while remembering this is a family friendly forum ...

25% Rule: This is a short GB intended to showcase speed building skills with an unstarted kit. Therefore, the 25% rule is suspended for this GB. All kits must be unstarted, although removal of main components from the runners is acceptable.

No Trading: Any parts/decals/kits etc that you want to buy or sell MUST be posted in the Buy/Sell area only, not here in the GB forum. However, as it is a very short GB, I doubt there will be time for trading. The GB will be over and done before the postie can get stuff delivered.

Eligible builds: Anything! Anything at all, as long as it's a kit. Any medium you want - card kits will be particularly welcome. Any subject is welcome. I would imagine that most of us will choose simpler kits or those marketed as "weekend" kits, but if you think you can complete a Tamiya 1/32 F-14 or an Airfix 1/24 Typhoon in the time, then have at it!

Gallery: Each build must have an entry in the Gallery. There will be a poll at the end of the GB. No canvassing for votes please.

So there you have it. As always the main objective of this GB is to have fun.
