"Jumbo Jet" question

I've just been watching an old episode of Scrapheap Challenge, where the object was to build a tractor capable of towing a "Jumbo Jet", which was the only way they described it. The aircraft they used looked like a 747 so far as the fuselage went, but instead of having four engines each on its own pylon this one had two engines on a single pylon under each wing. They also looked much smaller than the standard 747 engine - the intakes were the same diameter as the main body.

I'm presuming this was a real aircraft, though probably decommissioned, but what was it? Was there a 747 variant with this engine configuration?
