Nice.

Would like to get into doing some Luftwaffe aircraft myself, just can't stand the idea of doing mottling and stuff like it, especially on their north African birds.

Thank you very much Raven Morpheus. For the bit of mottling I had to do on the fin I used a very small stippling brush and applied the paint very thinned and built it up slowly. It seemed to work okay.

Hi all.

Troy Smith spotted in my earlier photos that there was a problem with the gear doors - I had shortened the legs a touch but hadn't altered the doors. I have now corrected the problem and retaken the photos. As the light seemed better I have taken a few more which I have included in the first post.

Thank you to Troy again.

Those exttra photos with the better lighting really do show it to advantage. I'm even more impressed with your effort now. One in my future for sure. I like your thinned paint for mottle hint too. Thanks.

A fine build and well presented. Its not the best of Airfix new tool kits and you are probably right about the worth of this kit as a starter kit.

Well done !

Just found this myself Stix, excellent result. Building this one at the minute, it's very trying in places,

especially around the cowling, but hopefully it will turn out alright,

Thank you very much Bernd and it's good to see you back on BM. It is a shame Airfix didn't do a batter job with some areas of this kit but it is what it is.

Hi Sean and thank you. Hope your build of this kit is progressing well - definitely one to take your time over in places!

Fantastic finish. I'm particularly impressed with the stripe on the spinner.

Hi Mark and thank you. I was really worried about doing the spinner spiral - I'd read so many horror stories about the decal getting tangled up that I ended up suspending it between two cocktail sticks as part of the application process. It was bit nerve racking at times but I was surprised and pleased with the result. Thank you again,

Kind regards,

Stix
