herr66
Hello Modelers, this is my latest project, Lightning T.Mk.5 in 1/48 scale. To model from Sword I added some resins from Q-M-T. Resin cockpit fits into the fuselage without problems. A little filling requires a connection between the wings and fuselage. Seats from Q-M-T set. Cockpit is done. Masks for canopy produces Q-M-T. To be continued... Regards from Prague Jan

unlikeKansas
Got 2 of these, so will watch this thread closely. I also am half way through converting the 48th Airfix F1/F3 to a T5 using the Aeroclub conversion fro many moons ago. So eventually hope to have 3 Lightning T birds to show

herr66
Hello modelers, Thanks for comments! I continue to build Lightning. First I finished the landing gear, then I made new in-flight refueling and finally I started to spray camouflage (first black surfacer). Thanks for watching! Well, that's certainly such an interestin' piece of info for me to learn, since I'm hautin' the modellin' forums to see if somebody had both the Sword T.4/T.5 'n' the Aeroclub conversion kits in order to compare their forward fuselage sections so as to determine whether or not the Q.M.T.resin cockpit, which is designed to fit the Sword kits, will also fit the Aeroclub one. Y'see I've got the Airfix/Aeroclub combo as well, but was seriously considerin' gettin' the Q.M.T. resin cockpit, for I'm rather unhappy with whut I've got to use. Would ya please help me out with it, Kansas, mate? I'd real appreciate it. Thanks a helluva lot in advance. Incidentally; I really envy ya, herr66. Sword's looks to be an awesome kit. herr66
Hello, Thanks for comments! @ Uncle Uncool: This weekend I spoke with the author of the Q-M-T cockpit, He said, that the set is designed for the T.4/T.5 model from the Sword. On the other kits will need adjust it to fit. I started to spray camouflage, previously was a great Masking... Regards Jan

Think I might give the Q.M.T. cockpit a try anyway. Then I might as well buy the Sword kit. Yer build's lookin' awesome! Cheers, Jan. Unc2 Edited September 23, 2016 by Uncle Uncool Double post. I've just ordered one from evil bay, really becayse Ive been watching Wood37's thread. He scratched the kit cockpit and I think I'll try that too. I'm enjoying THIS thread too.
