stevehnz
Hell yes, one of these in RNZAF colours has got my name on it. If ever I thought that bigger stuff makes more sense in 1/144, this could be the clincher. Steve.

kev67
Warpaints scale plans of the Hastings is not that accurate
jaw
I am not sure about the accuracy of the plans in the Warpaint, but as far as I know they are the only game in town. If you want a copy of the Warpaint, google Guideline productions warpaint and no 62 covers the Hastings, and will have a set of 1/72 scale plans included., as well as colour schemes. Unless anybody knows of a better plan? Hope that helps, John
Graham Boak
For details of the wing see the following thread on Flypast's Historic forum. http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?109456-Halifax-Hastings-wing/page5&highlight=hastings+wing It might be easier to start at the end, on page 5, and work back as far as you need. Steve: remember that the tailplane is lower on the RNZAF aircraft, as on all aircraft after the Mk.1. The best source on the HASTINGS is Tim Senior's book "Hastings" from Dalrymple & Verdun, but it doesn't have plans, unless you are prepared to place your trust in the 4-view artwork. It does however include quite detailed dimensions. Perhaps kev67 could describe the shortcomings of the Warpaint plans?

tonyot
Looking forward to building a few of these,....... especially one wearing Suez Stripes for the parachute assault onto El Gamil airfield in 1956. It would be great to include a couple of jeeps and parachute containers underneath too; https://www.paradata.org.uk/media/10714 https://www.paradata.org.uk/media/10541 https://www.paradata.org.uk/media/4000 https://www.paradata.org.uk/article/handley-page-hastings-aircraft Just containers; https://www.paradata.org.uk/media/9103 Cheers Tony Edited February 14, 2019 by tonyot 1
