Airfix 1/48 Hawker Hurricane

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Here's another recent commission build I'd like to show.

This time it's the Airfix Hurricane. This is the first Airfix of the new generation I built and must say it is pretty good. Nice detailing and a pretty good fit overall.

Painting was, as usual, done with Gunze paints over a base of Alclad black primer. Mig productions wash and a final coat of Alclad flat coat to finish it off.

Great finish to that Hurricane and lovely reserved weather and panel lines. My favourite finish for my favourite early war fighter. Hoofin build sir!

Superb ! Lovely build and finish.

Actually, I saw this last night and today went out to buy some Alclad flat coat......I don't seem to have much success with matt finishes. Hopefully I'll get a finish somewhere as nice as yours next time.

Cheers
