1/72 Airfix FW-190-A8 "Finished"

Good evening, folks!

Here's my contribution for this GB with the FW 190-A8 from Airfix at 1/72 scale (new tooling).

At first glance, the plastic is good and the details are quite satisfactory for 1/72 scale!

I started the construction of the cockpit:

... and painted it with Tamiya Dark Sea Grey.

The photos aren't the best, but my camera is old.

Then was the wings turn

The detail does look good for 1/72. Airfix new tool kits are really a cut above a lot of mainstream.

I am looking forward to more.

Yeah, the details are nice but found a bit of fitting issues.

Well, closed the fuselage and mounted it on the wings along with the landing gears.

Looks like the cowling put up a real fight.....But you conquered it!

After a long pause, i came back and painted the model.

It's not finished. I've got to correct some points in the fuselage and wheels.

And after a while, I came back to this kit again!

Corrected the mistakes I've made in the paint job, at least the ones I'm aware!

Applied the decals, sealed all with floor wax and finished it.
