Phil Lewis
Bought this kit on the basis that I wanted to build a Luchs and didn't want to pay the earth. It fit the bill, cheap and in the right scale. Nice big box.... ..must be stuffed full of plastic... ..ah well, there are some nice looking options, I'll go for this one... ..at least the moulds should be in good nick.... ...after serious flash removal.. ...off centre holes and slipped moulds, this could be fun. I think I must have subconsciously wanted to show solidarity with John and his old Airfix Prowler. Or maybe I'm just a masochist Progress is at stage 3 completed (but without the wheels as they are to be painted separately first). Lower chassis and torsion bars assembled/added Rear panel did not want to fit nicely... ..so I chamfered the sides to get it to fit, definitely not a shake'n'bake kit here. So that's where we stand right now. Unfortunately I didn't take any pics of the sprues before I cleaned them up but there was a lot of flash and heavy mould seams that had to be removed before I even considered cutting anything from the tree. Not sure what kind of a dogs dinner I'm going to make of this but I'll give it my best shot Thanks for looking Phil Edited August 11, 2016 by Phil Lewis

Phil Lewis
A bit more done, step 4 to be exact, achieved with much trimming, sanding, fettling and any other appropriate 'ings. Fit was 'interesting' but I managed to trim things up so I should be able to get away with minimal filler. perhaps a tiny bit around the joint between the front and side armour. The chamfered edge at the rear grill seems to have also helped the fit. Thanks for looking. Tea has gone so time for bed Phil

Phil Lewis
Nice looking tank, good luchs with you build! Thank you Mirage models are nice but they need some work to make them look good. Have fun You, sir, have mastered the art of understatement No update yet, just had a little tinker with the Opel Blitz cargo by way of preparing myself for round 3 whereupon I shall clean up a lot of fiddly bits and apply them to their intended locations. AgentG
I bought this kit early on in my return to armor modeling. I opened the box and immediately put it aside for a bit. I did finally build the tank, but she is not prominently displayed. You sir are making this one sing. Please, Carry on. G
Sgt.Squarehead
My favourite! Feeling all smug because at least four of the five new Braille Luchs kits are way better than this thing! PS - A new 1/35 Luchs might be on the cards for Revell.....MaCo has already done the CAD for their Braille kit and they are linked to Revell (who I believe rebox the kit you are building). Phil Lewis
Wheels cleaned up and sprayed base colour. Assembled and loosely fitted to check spacing etc. Also some filler (Mr Dissolved Putty) has been applied to various small gaps/seams. I'll take off the wheels again and apply a little more filler where needed and then I should be ok to add the small stuff. I'll paint the road wheel tyres too. Thanks for the comments everyone Phil
Tzulscha
Well, it LOOKS like a Luchs... I'm sure it'll be fine... Just in case though
Gremlin56
You are doing a very nice job on the Luchs Phil. You are pulling things together in an admirable fashion. The "Classy Hobby" 1/16th Luchs has been tempting me and I have been able to resist so far, difficult though

Crayons
Sorry Phil, I think all the puns have been used up. Nice work on this. I have this in my stash and it suffers the same mould and flash issues. Your build will be the crystal ball for me.
