I saw a Bentley SUV on the A55 this morning.

Not as hideous as I expected.

Left hand drive on trade plates. Didn't manage to get a better shot, it was leaving as I pulled in was in a convoy of 4 Bentleys on trade plates of various models

Blue Saxo yesterday. No go faster stripes, no headlights on in daylight, no tin can exhaust, no plastic eyelashes and it was being driven sensibly by an over 18yr old who used their indicators as well. All this in Plymouth as well. Couldn't believe it.

Sorry,

do you mean those pretty coloured decorations on the front and back of cars are actually indicators? Judging by the number of drivers I see who play "guess which way I'm going", very few know that!

Panhard Dyna PL17 circa 1960. Not seen one for 50 years. It must be my week for seeing incredibly rare stuff. I think I can count these on the fingers of one hand.

For those unfamiliar it's like a Renault Dauphine on steroids, all 50 bhp of it.

Also a nice MG TF

Hillman Imp on A47 eastbound towards Wansford.

And one which I forgot to mention previously, there's a very tidy 2.8i Mk2 Granada GhiaX estate car running around in my home village.

Continuing the spotting thing. Yet another proper Citroen DS northbound J23a M1 and something that really made me feel properly nostalgic driving through Loughborough.

A Leyland Leopard chassis with Plaxton coachwork in the red, cream and burgundy colours that haven't been seen in the East Midlands for at least two decades.

That's right! A Barton's Bus!

Was it baby blue by per chance? May be packing more than 50 bhp! Quite partial to them - been thinking about another project! ;-)

Spotted this one a while back at Brooklands.

Yes, thanks I was aware of that. Only added as it is a Panhard and rare!

I've never seen one before. The 17, yes, but the 24 looks quite groovy.

Those tail lights look like 60's BMW?

A tow bar too. There's confidence in the performance!

With the import taxes of the 60's I wonder how much it cost back then.

Those coloured Porsches above looked like the paddock at Silverstone, where I was as a marshal for nearly 30 years!

Down around Cambridge today,

Saw a nice MGA in old English white in the rush hour traffic.

And, this one was a doozy!

A 1961 Bristol 406 in pretty much barn find condition!

I won't say where exactly as I think the owner wants to keep it quiet,

He did say the engine is out, as well as the interior. the body is rough,

but it's aluminium so only really has surface corrosion. I fell in love,

I really like the little indicator repeaters on the roof!

Goodness knows what it's worth even as it stands.

And goodness knows what the eventual restoration will cost.

Edit, just did a google search. Only about 8 of these left out of 292 yet

not as valuable as I thought. Restoration would cost more than that!

The 407 (with V8 Chrysler) is more sought after.
