Probable that the Chieftain would start out as the Centurion did in IDF service.

Sinai Gray colour with Israeli tactical marks before Israeli modifications changed it`s appearance.

Only pic I can find of the vehicles sent to Israel is this one.

They didn't decide - we decided not to sell it to them

Reading articles and chatting to ex Israeli tank crews the  IDF were quite keen on the Chieftain and  not happy at not  being able to buy it 

They had cooperated in the desert trials and made suggestions for improvements
