Dixit French forum Master194 while everybody is talking about the soon to release TamiyAMK Tomcats, Tamiya would have unveiled at the current at IPMS/USA Nationals a 1/48th LM F-16D two seats Viper sprue.
True or fake? Still waiting for a reliable source.

Photoshop. Look at single seater canopy frame atop

It is very likely to be fake.

The opening for the rear cockpit is too short. The hinge for the canopy should be in line with the gun cover panel but it stops short. The hump should also end nearer the break in the fuselage but it is obviously too short as well. I'm pretty sure Tamiya would not make such huge dimensional errors.

BABARYBA 2024 - NEWS

We promised everyone that at BABARYBA 2024 we would show our new conversions for the F-16 family with TAMIYA (...) in 1/48 scale and we kept our word.

We showed 4 conversions - 3 for the TAMIYA model and 1 for the KINETIC GOLD model.

Currently, a conversion to version C is available for sale - a new tailcone with drag chute - A48-58.

The following conversions are in preparation:

- F-16 A - TAMIYA - new rear fuselage with base,

- F-16 B - TAMIYA - new front with the rear cabin with seat and the rear of the fuselage with tailcone with drag chute,

- F-16 D BLOCK 52 - TAMIYA - new front with rear cabin with seat and large spin + tail cone
