Skyhawk174
I am sure I have seen somewhere that there is an M1 Abrams in 1/48 but I think it is resin. I am looking forward to this kit when it comes into my local shop although there is the 1/35th version. Decisions, decisions. Cheers Chris

Cheers Chris yes you are absolutely right, there are quite some modern tank models in 1/48, but they are all more or less running toys or derived from them.... I was unclear in my post above! by the way, the kit is available! http://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/data/caiykywz8h6ctrddsyja.html

Air Hockey Propellers
Yes, I saw that box at the hobbyshop and I'm tempted to buy it. However, because I am not so skilled, I might end up getting Aoshima's RC version which is much more relaxing to build and the tracks are one piece so they're on in less than a minute. I will put up some photos of the RC M1A1 by Aoshima as well so you can take a look at the details. It is obviously not as detailed as Tamiya or Italieri, especially on the skirts, but the level of detail overall is decent. I don't know yet how to tell between resin and injection molded types though...
