rockpopandchips Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 This arrived yesterday another very nice looking kit from Dragon Momoko the 1/100 MG Testament, ordered this from Gundam Central and I must say Im very impressed with there service, arrived within 8 day of dispatch the package is very well packed and with extra corner reinforcement to boot. Only worked out at £26 with delivery and no extra charges....... And the parts look so much fun, lots of different colours and as this will be just a quick snap fit together for now it should still look good. 2
FG2Si Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I got this in the mail at the end of last month. I'm now just starting to collect all the paint colours needed for it. Carl 3

FG2si y'all are killing me with those Zoids kits. I want one so bad I can't stand it. But unfortunately, I'm super cheap so.... Edited June 8, 2017 by Thud4444 2

Will Vale Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 An EVA that size would be a kit to be reckoned with 8) Not from the postman, but I was given the Psycho Zaku Ver Ka for my birthday - it's got a ridiculously big booster/fuel tank combo but it still manages to make sense, somehow. Also some 40K bits like the new cranes And from the postman but not sci-fi, I finally have some clips-on-sticks and a drying stand so I'm hoping that the MSO Zaku I've prepped will be going into the paint shop soon. It's just so cold here at the moment... Cheers, Will 2

Also some 40K bits like the new cranes Ah yes, Katoki's big brown butt-plug. It does balance out though doesn't it? Probably because of the fact that its legs are super model long... Still want one though, think it's a great looking thing.

OK. after reading all these descriptions I would really like to see a photo of this kit. (as long as it is 'Safe for work' :-)
Thud4444 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 It's just a Zaku with an absurd backpack. But it manages to still look cool, IMHO.
Richard Baker Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I see what you mean. I can see this sort of thing working if in Zero G...
Will Vale Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Yeah, I assume it's like a staged rocket, where it burns the fuel in the booster and then detaches it, repeats the process with the diagonal tanks/boosters and then maneuvers with the MMU-esque backpack. Provided the thrust axis goes through the CoM it's all reasonably practical. I wasn't sure I liked it initially as it looked like the bazookas were part of the bracing structure between the tank and backpack, but I think they're actually separate so that's fine. It's quite a nice counterpart to the more NASA-ey design of the Full Armour Gundam from the same series: Again, I think you'd want to leave off the shields and some of the armament for best results. One interesting wrinkle about both kits is that they have "joint covers" which are thin plastic sleeves you're supposed to wrinkle up to mimic the look of thermal blankets. I think this is a neat feature, plus it means you don't have to paint the frame (or at least only have to paint a handful of areas) as it's all hidden by the covers. Will
Thud4444 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 The soundtrack is a little odd, but the story and combat are outstanding ! The suits just take some getting used to. I'm really digging season 2. 2
Will Vale Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 It seems like an attempt to take the feel of Cowboy Bebop and mix it with both 08th MS Team and Unicorn. It's certainly spectacular! Will

Most gold I've tried have been a satin gold rather than a bright gold. 1
Kallisti Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 This was delivered by the postman this week, after finally completing the Warp Babylon 5 Agamemnon after 4 years, I thought I'd like to have one of these to go with the Starfury and Omega Destroyer... It appears to be a much better moulded kit than the Omega! May try to get onto this sooner rather than later, but there is a 1914 Dennis Fire Engine to build first... 7

Madmonk Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Postman dropped this off at the weekend from Destiny Models, 1:4 scale Dewey from Silent Running. Had chance to have a quick look through and the casting is very nice, only a few small holes to fill. Edit: Photobucket finally got me so moved to Imgur 9

The Chief Smeg Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 So, 5s modeller is wholly responsible for this, because I saw his War Machine and needed his best buddy: thanks 5s, I have been needing this in my life for some time and your purchase reminded me to go looking!

Mike Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Just a minute Jedi Starfighter, mainly for the completeness of the series, not because I like it that much. The box had a bit of a dent in it, but plastic was undented.
