Kallisti Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Yesterday got a delivery from Alain Rivard in Canada with a 3D print kit of SID from UFO! The main body on the right is 14cm long, a dry fit of the main components shows this will be about 30cm long when assembled. Lots of small pieces packaged up into small boxes... Can't wait to start it!!! 7
FG2Si Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Saw this cute little guy for sale so I picked it up. He'll go nicely with the Evangelion/Godzilla mashup one I already have. 3

FG2Si Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I picked up a couple older kits at the LHS. They were all a great price as they're having a sale on Bandai kits. This was probably the deal of the three: 3 1

Dermo245 Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Thought I would try one of these for a change 😎 Hasegawa_VF-1_Valkyrie by Dermot Moriarty, on Flickr 4
Bobby No Mac Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 The only kit I purchased at Telford this year, from Cozmic Scale Models: I say 'kit', though it's a one piece 3D print with decal options for three versions, and powered up or down. It is hollow, so I'm pondering the possibility of cutting out the back door and scratchbuilding an interior 4
Kallisti Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 (edited) My main purchase from Telford this weekend... a bit of a bargain I reckon (if you zoom in you can see the price tag on the top right of the box ) Edited November 12, 2024 by Kallisti 5

whitestar12chris Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Wife spoilt me rotten at Telford, buying models for xmas, i ended up with a few kits ticked off my wish list; 1/128 8 window movie edition Seaview (Voyage to the bottom of the sea) from Moebius 1/6 B-9 robot (Lost in space) from Moebius 1/72 Atreides Ornithopter (Dune) by Meng 1/32 Vermithrax the dragon (Dragonslayer) by Pegasus and 5 submarine kits not sci-fi or fantasy. All the best Chris 4
FG2Si Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 An online shop here in Canada was having a sale and I found they had a UNCF Asuka for a silly price $49 CAD (which is like maybe $30 USD?). I couldn't resist as they seem to be hard to find as well. They also had the recent Bandai VF-29 on sale so I got that too. Meantime, it hasn't arrived yet (postal strike at the moment) but a different shop had the Gamilas 3 ship set on sale so I picked that up from them. This will be for our son as he was asking for one so it was nicely fortuitous. 1 1
johndon Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Whilst not models, I've recently received two Blakes 7 books, the Production Diaries for Series A & B which contain a number of very useful model shots of the Liberator and many of the the other ships including Matt Irvine's infamous hairdryer ship. They are well worth it just for the model shots but give a fascinating insight in to the production of the series. Here they are with the recently released Series 1 BluRay and my studio scale Liberator kit. 2
Reelyator Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 This came in last week. A Robocop-Kit from GoodSmile´s Moderoid line. This should be in scale with their other Kits from the Robocop movies, like the Cain and the ED-209. 1
Reelyator Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 ....and this arrived just a few hour ago: A 1/87 Scale Type 66 Maser Cannon. Aunt Google says that this is from the goofy 1966 movie "The War of the Gargantuas" but i am pretty sure that i have seen very similar looking vehicles in several different Godzilla movies. Probably recycled props used in several Kaiju movies of that era. I found this in a japanese Web-Store for second hand model kits. Comes with an unexpected high amount of decals + 3 metal rods to be used as axis for the tyres. 3
Mankymech Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Wallet is a bit lighter but happy Christmas to me 🤣 6

I had the original release in the stash and when she realized how big it was going to be, said no. So I sold it and bought a PG Millenium Falcon instead. That was okay by her. 1

If you compare the dimensions of Enterprise to the Enterprise CVN, the starship doesn't come off as improbably large, so it's not impossible to kit them in the same scale. FG2Si Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 My Black Friday order finally arrived from a nearby online Gundam shop. I was a bit surprised at the size of a couple of the boxes. One of these being this MaK kit. The AT-AT was more along what I expected. Same with the Gamilas ships. Then this just took the cake. 3
Yg Models Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 i just buy Godzilla in reasonable price. 🥳 2
FG2Si Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 That Godzilla model looks impressive. Especially with the skeleton.
