What are MPC stars wars models like? Are they good? I've seen a lot of them on eBay.

It would be a stretch to call them good, but if you focus on the painting, you can get decent results from them IMO.

The Bandai offerings are much more comfortable to build.

I think this counts as sci-fi.

It's the new version of the DeLorean with opening doors and separate wiring conduits rather than the original moulded on ones.

I had one of them TIE Interceptors and I must say 'pretty bad' even by 80s kit standards.

The plastic was like the stuff toy soldiers were made of.

I think the remade it though, same scale and label but totally different kit.

Yes, it's the ARTPLA kit. I'll post it it RFI as soon as I get the opportunity to shoot more pics.

I've got that on order so hopefully it shows up soon. They've also announced the flying version. Alas, it will no longer have the pivoting wheels like the original version.

We got a 3D printer last week. The boys have been having fun printing stuff. I finally got a chance to try it out.

The printers app has many models available for free download so I tried one of those.

It's much bigger than 1/35 that's for sure.

I almost forgot that this was still on the way, when the postman rang yesterday (3 months shipping time from Japan). Some Vehicles from the good old 90´s Godzilla Movies.

These are actually 2 Kits in one box:

- The Super X2 from Godzilla vs. Biolanthe (1991)

- The Type 92 Mazer Beam Tank (from several movies)

...the APC from James Cameron´s Aliens (1986). Amazing Movie, cool vehicle!!

I saw some nice looking 3D printed figures on the bay (Alien Queen, Ripley, Vasques...) that might suite well to the scale of your Kit.

I didn't know Kotobukiya did these kits. I have their Mechagodzilla kit and it's quite nice.

Got my Klingon Vor'cha Battlecruiser in 1/1400

p?i=af740f472211d8859a0c13f57e70bf58

It was cheaper to get it from the US than to buy it in the UK and it only took 15 days to arrive, not bad at all.

Only problem is that the kit comes with stickers instead of waterslide decals

Jealous. Want this kit. But as you say,it's rare now and expensive. I may have to bite the bullet and fork out the cash.

Yes it is I paid £70 for mine and as I said it was cheaper to get it from the US. Most sellers in the UK wanted between £80-£90 for their kits (on ebay) So it may be worth your while seeing if you can get the kit from the US the kits are cheaper its just that the P+P is expensive.

Do one in 1:35 this instant and send it to me if you don't want to get beatens :fight:

I'm kidding, but that print looks pretty good, without the usual layers that you usually get with extrusion printers.  Is that because you've sanded the bejeezuz out of it, or have this type of printer moved on now? :hmmm:

I had the old Halcyon APC kit in 1/35. That was a long time ago.

Here it is with the Thunder Models LRDG that I'm currently working on for a size comparison.

I haven't done any work on it yet. There are definitely later lines but they're not too bad. I need to get a coat of primer on to better see the results.
