whitestar12chris Posted November 20, 2023 Posted November 20, 2023 Recently received a 1/350 3d printed Leonov from 2010 the year we make contact, absolutely stunning. Wife has hijacked my 1/350 Discovery bought at SMW and wrapped it for christmas, so a massive building spree in the new year. all the best Chris 1
sardaukar Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 I just got my Dune kits from MENG in a slightly bashed box from china. I got both ornithopters and the harvester. the ornithopters are very small probably around 1/144 scale, no idea what scale the harvester might be. it reminds me of some of the small scale star wars stuff from bandai. like the blockade runner. 1
Electric Indigo Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Another classic to cross off the list. 7
Kallisti Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 (edited) Picked this up from the Post Office after paying the customs fee, a 3D print kit 1:24 scale SHADO Interceptor from the excellent Alain Rivard. Looking forward to building this!!! Edited November 25, 2023 by Kallisti 6
johndon Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Finally got my hands on a 1/350 TOS Enterprise today after months of trying... So I've now got all 3 in 1/350 with, for good measure, the 1/350 Enterprise 'nuclear wessel' as well. 6

You will also need the Space shuttle and sailing ship Enterprise.

Oh now you’ve got me started… I recently bagged the NX-01 (to add to my Refit kit) and now feel the urge to go for the original 1701 too. Though I’m tempted to hold out just in case R2 surprise us by releasing a 1/350 version of the ‘Strange New Worlds’ Enterprise 🤔

Nocoolname Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Just picked up the new Revell 1/24 Star Wars Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter. It’s big. My 1/350 NX-01 also arrived. 2

2Step Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 not today, but I scored myself the Bandai Millenium Falcon perfect grade kit for a very reasonable price - have to wait until Xmas to get my hands on it Cheers 2

It’s absolutely exquisite. I got one of the first batch back in 2017 but I’ve not had the courage to start it. The moulding and engineering are a work of art. 1
FG2Si Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Something different. An interesting mashup of Evangelion and Godzilla. 3

Too intimidated to start it but I finally did. It goes together very nicely. My first try is almost done (just some decals left) and our cat has found it a comfy place to hang out. 2 2

Reelyator Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 I was a bit disapointed by the box size when this came in yesterday: The "new" Tie Interceptor from MPC. The Box is half the size of the Box from the Tie Fighter (Revel/Fine Molds Master Series) while both Kits should be pretty close in scale. The Tie Fighter is 1/48 while the Box of the Interceptor has no scale information. Scalemates has this listed as 1/51. With the naked eye i cannot see any difference when comparing the body of the interceptor (dark gray) with the fighter (ligt gray). Still the appearance of the interceptor will be smaller due to the Wings/Panels beeing much smaller compared to the fighter. Qualitywise the interceptor looks a bit soft. Panel lines not as sharp as on the fighter. But still a very nice kit considering that the only other option (afaik) is the tiny 1/72 scale Interceptor from Bandai. 2
fatalbert Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I managed to get an MPC Shuttle Tydirium in the Hattons sale. 2

Electric Indigo Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 @Yg Models Nice haul there, looking forward to see your Junone! I was surprised to see the actual quality of the Thunderjaw kit when I helt it in my hands. The engineering is on the same level as Bandai's Star Wars kits IMO; lots of fine surface details, and great fit. It is much better than my first Moderoid, the Deer Stalker RxR. 1

But FSS is unpopular in western, nobody interested in that post... Edited January 24, 2024 by Yg Models
sardaukar Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 hey @Yg Models you got the Deredeo too? best looking walker model I've seen from GW for a while, although the leviathan is nice too.
