And the parts look so much fun, lots of different colours and as this will be just a quick snap fit together for now it should still look good.

Koto's NERV VTOL CAC aircraft thing...which is tiny.

That looks fantastic.  What scale is it?

FG2si y'all are killing me with those Zoids kits. I want one so bad I can't stand it. But unfortunately,  I'm super cheap so....

1/100

Too bad there's no EVAs in that scale (that I know of) but they would be over 75cm tall...

An EVA that size would be a kit to be reckoned with 8)

Not from the postman, but I was given the Psycho Zaku Ver Ka for my birthday - it's got a ridiculously big booster/fuel tank combo but it still manages to make sense, somehow. Also some 40K bits like the new cranes :)

And from the postman but not sci-fi, I finally have some clips-on-sticks and a drying stand so I'm hoping that the MSO Zaku I've prepped will be going into the paint shop soon. It's just so cold here at the moment...

Cheers,

Will

Ah yes, Katoki's big brown butt-plug. It does balance out though doesn't it? Probably because of the fact that its legs are super model long...

Still want one though, think it's a great looking thing.

OK. after reading all these descriptions I would really like to see a photo of this kit.

(as long as it is 'Safe for work' :-)

Yeah, I assume it's like a staged rocket, where it burns the fuel in the booster and then detaches it, repeats the process with the diagonal tanks/boosters and then maneuvers with the MMU-esque backpack. Provided the thrust axis goes through the CoM it's all reasonably practical.

I wasn't sure I liked it initially as it looked like the bazookas were part of the bracing structure between the tank and backpack, but I think they're actually separate so that's fine. It's quite a nice counterpart to the more NASA-ey design of the Full Armour Gundam from the same series:

Again, I think you'd want to leave off the shields and some of the armament for best results.

One interesting wrinkle about both kits is that they have "joint covers" which are thin plastic sleeves you're supposed to wrinkle up to mimic the look of thermal blankets. I think this is a neat feature, plus it means you don't have to paint the frame (or at least only have to paint a handful of areas) as it's all hidden by the covers.

It seems like an attempt to take the feel of Cowboy Bebop and mix it with both 08th MS Team and Unicorn. It's certainly spectacular!

Ooooh dead jealous, I want both this particular kit and iron man, I've even worked out the paint for iron man (vallejo metal colour gold with Tamiya clear red over it for the red sections).  I'll be watching this build with interest if you create a WIP thread.

Personally, to get the really bright gold, I'd go for a gloss black base, Molotow chrome, clear yellow with a touch or orange for the gold and clear red with a touch of smoke for the red parts. Most gold I've tried have been a satin gold rather than a bright gold.

This was delivered by the postman this week, after finally completing the Warp Babylon 5 Agamemnon after 4 years, I thought I'd like to have one of these to go with the Starfury and Omega Destroyer...

DSC_8066.JPG

It appears to be a much better moulded kit than the Omega!

May try to get onto this sooner rather than later, but there is a 1914 Dennis Fire Engine to build first...

Had chance to have a quick look through and the casting is very nice, only a few small holes to fill.

Edit: Photobucket finally got me so moved to Imgur

So, 5s modeller is wholly responsible for this, because I saw his War Machine and needed his best buddy:

Iron Man MkVII

thanks 5s, I have been needing this in my life for some time and your purchase reminded me to go looking! :D

Where is this magic place you speak of??

it is a chinese mega online site where venders/retailers can sell almost anything like ebay or amazon.
as it is a domestic site for china only, you have to use a agent.
as i do mostly mecha/gundam modelling the ungrade parts are not easy for find outside asia to use taobao.
heres a link to the thread i wrote on how to use it.

Just a minute Jedi Starfighter, mainly for the completeness of the series, not because I like it that much.  The box had a bit of a dent in it, but plastic was undented. :)
