Kahunaminor
Great progress - I should have had a closer look on your canopy. I had some trouble with the correct masking of the areas which need to be painted. Now I know that there must be a short stripe on top at the very front which seems to be a flex area on the real thing. I will copy the way you installed the antennae - very clever. René Hi Rene, Many thanks, yes there was a hinge plate at the front that allowed the forward edges to flex upwards slightly as the canopy opened rear wards and thinner. I had a look at your work, very impressive scheme. Regards,

Kahunaminor
Welcome back, I am heading towards the finish line. Decals are on, Flory wash on, final matte coat on and masking removed from the glazing. The canopy is not glued but set in place to see how it will look. The gun camera opening has had some Micro Krystal Kleer added to simulate a lens. Enough talk here are the photos: Regards,
Kahunaminor
I just want to test the new method of adding a photo as I don't know how I got the ones above into the post: okay that works as directed...there was some difficulty yesterday. Back to your usual programming.
Kahunaminor
"She's got legs...." MLG installed and setting up. BMF for the oleos with the join to be hidden by the wheel covers. Brake lines installed. Prop and spinner installed. Rear wheel installed and is moveable to allow final positioning: Thanks for looking.
Kahunaminor
Closing in on the finish! Wheels attached and angled. From the photos, the angle of the MLG looks too straight, it is better in real life but they probably could have been a bit better. At least they are equal in all the other axis: Exhaust stains with a well diluted Tamiya Brown/NATO black mix: The spring is from fine copper electrical wire wound about the smallest drill bit I had. Just the inner doors and some oil stains to go and it will be done: Regards,
Kahunaminor
And I am spent....finished the build today. Light oil, fuel stains, boarding ladder and MLG inner doors and retract mechanisms. Into the cabinet and onto the next build in a few days: Thanks for following and your comments. They have really helped keep the motivation flowing. Some more pictures in The Gallery. regards,
