jimbob22
I would like everybody's opinion: should i do bombs or drop tanks? Also should I do the cockpit open or closed? (she will be landed) Edited July 18, 2016 by jimbob22
Graham Boak
The P-51s were fighter-bombers in Korea. Given the large internal fuel capacity they wouldn't normally need to carry the tanks.

Black Knight
The P-51s were fighter-bombers in Korea. Given the large internal fuel capacity they wouldn't normally need to carry the tanks. The tanks were sometimes carried, but not filled with fuel but napalm. In those cases the tanks were sometimes painted a pale yellow.
jimbob22
OK im going to do the picture on the box (bombs) but what about the cockpit Edited July 19, 2016 by jimbob22
Beard
I always do the canopy closed, unless I have to do it open (e.g. I break the closed canopy or if it's a vacform canopy) but it's entirely down to you.

jimbob22
Here is my next update. As you can see I have glued the fuselage and wings together, put a landing gear leg on and I am waiting to get some super glue to glue the other one on, Josh
jimbob22
No corrections yet, this is looking very good
azureglo
What corrections do you intend to do? It has a very good outline shape and a surprisingly good un-cuffed prop*, I used it as basis for my Bob Hoover Cavalier. BTW You have will some serious fun trying paint the uc if its all glued in and don't forget your wing half gaps, The canopy will either drive you crazy or be a thing of joy depending on how you approach it. My therapist suggested the hasegawa cure ...in the meantime keep up the good work and its not late to do the South American camo version, how cool would that look amongst all the cookie cutter NMF Mustangs? A * I bought a pile for just the props and will shortly be rehoming the donors
