Stephen
I'd be very surprised if Academy and Hasegawa didn't do the F-35A in 1/48 .

Shaun
Other manufacturers unwilling to pay the licencing fee perhaps? Peter That was what I've been thinking, I sure there will be a large price for use of the logo and stuff.
SleeperService
Just KittyHawk in 48th Shaun so far, its buildable but be ready for lots of filling and swearing !! ScottC I know of at least two that have been binned by guys who are quite handy with the plastic. I have got a 35C underway and find working on it in short spurts followed by a lay off stops it getting too tedious. Treat them as short-run kits and be prepared to do a lot of test fits and problem solving. There is a build on here somewhere that is pretty honest and matches my experience so far. I'll have a look. Found it HERE not easy but I understand the C at least is very similar
