I think 2-3 were actually built.....I guess this one is not flyable though! Well, the Hispano Aviación HS 300 wasn't actually designed for Egypt....It was designed for the Spanish Ejército del Aire, but back then Spain was receiving north american material, wich in turn was way cheaper than a new, not well proven design. Just a glider prototype was built in Spain, being towed by a CASA 2111 Pedro (He111).......That's why the original design ended its days in the Middle East, were just three prototypes were built.... I think it's one of the cleanest designs I've ever seen.....In fact, whe you ask a little child to draw a jet fighter, he draws something quite similar to the HA300, the same way he draws a Morris Marina when you ask him to draw a car.... Cheers... Edited July 3, 2016 by Artie

Artie
Willy Messerschmitt developed three new planes for the Spanish Ejército del Aire from 1952 untill 1959....He was comissioned to design some new planes, for the spanish air force was "somehow" ageing.....A basic trainer, the Hispano Aviación HA100 "Triana", an advanced trainer, attack light jet, the Hispano Aviación HA200 "Saeta", and the ambitious Hispano Aviación HA300, later to be known as "Helwan" in Egypt.... Here you are a pic of one of the ugliest trainers I've ever seen: The HA100 "Triana" It's predecessor, the Hispano Aviación HS42.......well, they were actually Hispano Suizas, the name was still in spanish hands....some sources claim that the wing assembly was designed by W. Messerschmitt, using Fokker DXXI undercarriages....I'm not sure at all about Mr. Messerschmitt's relationship with this basic trainer... I think 2-3 were actually built.....I guess this one is not flyable though! The HA-300 is a original one. One of three. You´re right the HA-300 is not in flying conditon. It´s the only one in the collection. They told us, that it would be to expensive to get all permissions cause it is a prototype.
