ScanmanDan
Thought I'd put all my corsair bits in one place. I am having quite a lot of fun building these cartoon characters in the Tiger Model Cute series. Progress so far; Cockpit details Basic construction Rough Base and finally Chocks I need the weather to clear so that I can get to the painting and decalling. I really like these little bonbons Thanks for looking in. Dan Edited July 16, 2016 by ScanmanDan
ScanmanDan
Progress; Too cold and wet to do much major painting I have stuck to getting the details painted and getting everything ready for primer. I have decided not to sling any bombs under this Corsair, and by decided I mean I can't find where I put the blooming things She will look much better once the basic colours are on. Thanks for looking in. Dan
Blastvader
That's looking brill Dan. I love the effect you've achieved on the base too.
ScanmanDan
Thanks Blastvader, glad you like the base. I'm thinking up a few more ideas for different bases for the other kits in the range. Colour me happy! Progress; My self imposed rule to only used Tamiya rattle cans seems to be working. I can get about an hour a night at the bench and thats not enough time to mess with the airbush. With rattle cans I can mask and spray a single colour each night without the drudge of all the cleaning up. Not my best camo job but once I dirty her up it should look okay. The cartoon character of the kits leads you to be pretty loose with the way the camouflage is painted to get it to look 'right'. I want to get the gloss on so that I can get to the weathering this weekend but must not rush. Still having a ball and hope to get to the P-40 on the weekend too. Thanks to all for looking in. ScanmanDan
Another weekend gone but I'm pretty happy with my results. I pushed the dark blue too hard but what ya going to do? Progress; Only some small parts left and then the final bits of weathering, add the nameplate and put her in the case Hope I'm not boring the pants off everyone with these little monsters. S5 modeller
What a cute little build. Ace paint job, seems a shame to dirty her up. Matt
