Sebastien Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 After some years of Shelf of Doom exile, I decided to finish my Academy F-4B. Here it goes: All (constructive) opinions welcome. All (less constructive) opinions welcome too, if they're funny (I'm the one to judge). Cheers, S. 49

Muzz Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Nice finish. Being as I have about 5 kits sitting on the shelf of doom in various stages of semi built condition I applaud anyone who musters the strength to do what has to be done! Muzz 1
Andrew D Jolly Rogers guy Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Yep, you nailed it! Bet that feels good not only to finally get one of the exiles done, but to have it look that good as well. 1
Sebastien Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 Thank you all! Next, another Phantom from the shelf of Doom, but a C version this time. Cheers, S.
Duncan B Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 It was on the shelf of doom?? What a cracker that is, I'm glad you finished it and let us have a look. Duncan B 1
DDELK Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Great looking Navy bird, i directed many birds on the flight deck, unfortunately the phantom was way before my time.. Awsome paint job!! Dave 1
72modeler Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Outstanding! Just the right amount of weathering and scuffing, too! Is there any prettier scheme than a VF-111 Sundowners F-4? You nailed this one...so, why was it on the Shelf of Doom? (Dreading doing all the stencils, perhaps?) Mike 1

andrewfl290 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I've been looking for builds on the Academy Phantoms because I've just ordered their F-4C and found this from your WIP. I'm not knowledgeable on Phantoms but it looks to be a very nice kit and I like what you've done with it. Looks really good. Well done. 1
bootneck Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I have the F-4B in my stash but I've been too scaredy-waredy to start it. Your beautifully finished model is re-igniting my inspiration Sebastien! thanks. Mike 1
