noelbarnes
This is the Hasagawa 1/32 P-40E kit. Completed in markings by Southern Sky Models - 75 Squadron P-40E's at Milne Bay. Great kit and decals.

Darby
Very nice. Somehow Aussie markings give a model a 'lift' out of the norm so to speak.

Suprastar3000
Fantastic looking p-40 - Looks so real. May I ask,... How you you do the silver chipping? Looks very subtle but so real. Especially on the spinner.

Especially on the spinner. Hi. I normally use a fine brush, 1, 0, or 00 and aluminium paint ( Humbrol) and simply use fine brush marks to build up the chipping. It can take a while, but the effect is very satisfying.

SimonL
Very nice finish, love the RAAF colours. Can I ask what light blue you used for the underside?

noelbarnes
Very nice finish, love the RAAF colours. Can I ask what light blue you used for the underside? Hi Simon. I used a mix of Humrol 89 Middle Blue with lots of Humbrol Matt White. This give a good rendition of RAAF light blue. The mix was somewhere in the vicinity of 25% blue to 75% white.
SimonL
Many thanks, I use Tamiya and Italeri acrylics but that gives me some kind of hint as to what shade I need for a planned project for th future.
