Hi there, I'm putting the finishing touches on my Airfix C-47 and have a decal question. According to the instructions decal 27 (a circle) should go on the fuselage windows. But what is it suppose to represent ??

Thanks for any info.

David.

Movable perspex discs in the windows enabling a rifle to be fired. Rather optimistic I think but I suppose it gave a psychological boost.

Edit - your similar post on Hyperscale attracted a few answers, probably because it has been discussed there before. There is one guy there who thinks they were ventilation ports. I don't think so because (1) I have heard them described as gun ports by a Dakota pilot and (2) they never appear on civilian aircraft, only on military-intended examples or civilian aircraft converted for military use.
