Marcel
No. 198 Squadron RAF, Martragny, Normandy, August 1944. I intended to build a plane of squadron leader Yves Ezanno (Free French), I even installed a piece of fine mesh in the air intake (visible in Ezanno’s portrait photo) but then I received Air Magazine No. 66. There is an article on Italian FAFL members which attracted my attention. Typhoon MN526 was piloted by F/Sgt Franco Burattini AKA François Bonnet. He served with French Foreign Legion in Norway, he joined FAFL in Africa and he was killed in his Typhoon on August 19, 1944.... Definitely an interesting person. Airfix kit, Master cannon barrels, Tamiya paints and varnishes. Different decals from my magic box. Thank you for looking.

KLOSTER 0
This one is magnifique Marcel and your painting is Beaux Arts quality... I just wonder why Airfix has choosen such a deep engraving for 1/72 there must be some reason. My guess is that they were looking in the direction of the young and very young modellers (as they have always done for most of their kits and 1/72 planes in particular) and that deep engraving is meant to make things easyer wether your painting the shades on the panel lines or letting a wash do the job through capillarity. It seams to me that those panel lines if they were scaled up to 1/1 would be 2 or three centimeters wide on the plane (1.20 to inches) Anyway thats not the point, your model is a little gem and your shading work on the colours is stunning.... as they say : "Chauffe Marcel"

Christer A
The paintjob is really something extra! If it weren't for the panel lines I'd guessed that it was in 1/72!

Marcel
Thank you very much guys. The paints are Tamiya acrylics, XF-81, 82, 83. The greys are lightened with white and the green with XF-21 Sky. I am trying a new way of painting process: I start with black surfacer by Gunze, then Gunze Base White in irregular patterns and then the camouflage colors using Blu-Tak sausages.
