Texan76
Great work Oliver. I am curiously awaiting when you get to the main gear. I haven't built this kit yet, but from what I've read, the main gear must be installed prior to joining the wings to get it properly aligned. If there's a way to avoid that and attach it late in the build after painting, please share.

Texan76, main gear will be next step and as you said it must be prior be installed! Maybe there is a way to attach it later, must look but the manual tells another story Oliver
Bear13583
Watch the alignment on the main u/c legs, seems to catch a lot of folks (me included!) And ends up toe-ing out a lot
Aviano
Thanks for the info Bear! Finished the seats (inkl. drybrush) - they made me crazy yesterday ...... But, the look really good to me and in place (not glued) Oliver
giemme
Oliver, seats look great! If I may just add a small hint: a dark-ish wash on the seat belts and straps, followed by a matt clear coat, would give them an even more realistic effect Ciao PS: I also think the firing handles on top of the seats should be leaning down rather then pointing up, like this Edited June 21, 2016 by giemme

Aviano
Jan, you have good taste sir! Look witch aircraft i desided for my next build 312th Squadron Starfighter (from the Eduard Natofighter kit) Otherwise, during the EURO2016 break i found time for my Phantom! Not to much pics, have a look Please note that the intakes will be closed with quickboost covers! There are 2-3 gaps to fill with Mr. Surfacer, no problem! The acadamy kit is just awesome, really good. Oliver
