Pin
My second entry will be of lesser known type - Yakovlev UT-1B was a light ground attach aircraft, modified UT-1 trainer. The modification included two machine guns on the top of each wing and four RS-82 rocket mounts. The type saw action in 1942 in Crimea where it was used for numerous night attach missions NeOmega resin kit is a very sweet looking set of nicely cast parts in the tiny box By tiny I mean really tiny - when assembled I expect the model to be a size of my son's palm
Sgt.Squarehead
What a cool subject.....Soviet improvisation FTW!
Bonehammer
A rare bird indeed! One ponders the effects of launching a salvo of RS-82s from that rickety frame... MikroMir makes one in 1/48, but it's rather soft on details and tries to make up for it with resin and PE - not a combination to everyone's taste. Pin
Trying to fight depression and looming prospects of losing a job with some scale modelling Looking ugly but fixable A coat of Mr. Resin Surfacer It is really tiny - a wheel and engine nacelle from Pe-8 for comparison Internals are painted Pre-shading Another size comparison - with Mirage this time Tried HATAKA paints - seems OK to me
JOCKNEY
Hi Alexey Great pictures and lovely work as always, sorry to hear about your personal circumstances but hope things aren't as dark as you believe they may be. Kindest regards Pat
Sgt.Squarehead
Wow that is some great work.....The progress on fuselage between the first and second photos alone would have taken me six months!
Pin
Blimey, I can't find the engine cowling. My options are - scratch build - not the easiest part but doable - buy another kit, maybe pure UT-1 (without "B") and make a copy - tidy up the man cave What should I do? English Electric
Somewhere I have an old USSR made kit of this in 1/72. Incomplete and virtually unusable mouldings BUT it may have the vital bits you want. I'll have a hunt and if I can find it will that help? Sgt.Squarehead
Doesn't look like you ever had it.....Can't see it in the primer shots? Are the manufacturer contactable.....This is a bit outside my usual field.
JOCKNEY
Tidy the man cave ! Careful you will be putting the bins out without being reminded next, and it's all down hill from there... Anyway must go, got heaps of ironing to catch up on ! Good luck with your quest
Pin
The cave is tidy and shining, the part was not found. What was initially supposed to be a relaxed build turned into some heavy scratch building Not as fine as the original part but bearable. With the latest events I have to think about moving to greener pastures so I blown the dust from my textbooks preparing for possible interviews that does not leave much time for modelling

ForestFan
Great subject and great progress, I would've given up with the loss of the cowling. Good luck with the work thing

Pin
The build was on hold for a while the reason being my dissatisfaction with the RS-82 rockets offered with the kit. I ordered AML set that arrived earlier this week. With the replacement at my disposal I'm planning to finish the build very shortly

SoftScience
That is a really neat looking aircraft. Soviets were able to arm anything, eh? For my next build, I'm going to do a pram with a PPSH Great work on the build, thus far.
