1/48 - Yakovlev Yak-28PP "Brewer-E" by Bobcat Hobby Model Kits - released - Mini World air intakes

Recommended Posts

After the Yak-28P "Firebar" ( http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234980742-148-yakovlev-yak-28p-firebar-by-bobcat-model-ex-xuntong-cadstest-build/ ) Bobcat Hobby Model Kits (formerly Xuntong Model) is to release a 1/48th Yak-28PP "Brewer-E" - ref. 48002.

And if sales figures are ok Bobcat might also propose Yak-28 R, I & N kits.

Google translation:

Bobcat Model (previously Xuntong) 1/48 Yak-28P. 217 parts in box. The P kit will come with two different noses in box, a long one for later variants and a short one for early variants .

We will release Yak-28 PP (with translucent nose) shortly after.

If the sale can also, Yak-28 R, I,

The pictures are for test shots only. Final product will be molded in GREY color.

Still trying to find out if there is a UK supplier of these kits, anyone here know of any?

Hannants will surely have them, but it's a brand new company's first release...  it will take time to set up a distribution network.

Not really new as they're the Xuntong Model successors. And Xuntong's kits were distributed in UK by Hannants (https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/XMB48005). So and as you say it will be just a matter of time.

Compare the design/layout Xuntong vs Bobcat:

Slowly but surely the white areas of the map of Soviet aircraft models in 1/48 gets smaller :)

So quick after the first release?

Strange!

Got my 28P a couple of months ago and I'm even contemplating getting another to do both of the fighter versions.

I haven't been this chuffed to get my hands on a kit since I bought the Dynavector Wyvern 20 years ago.

But now I'm really jonesing for the bomber and recon versions , this is one of those "Got to have every sub-variant" aircraft for me.
