Another late starter, Academy MiG-21

Late to the party as usual, here's my first build. It's Academy's MiG-21MF kit but it actually better represents a MiG-21bis, I know the nose is slightly off but won'the tell if you don't.

I got the kit as part of a trade, but unfortunately didn't have a decal sheet, but I've got a Hi-decal set that has a '89 vintage Soviet bis as one of the options, unfortunately it doesn't give a unit or base so I'm hoping no one's going to point out that it's from an East of the Urals unit.

The kit did come with a couple of Quickboost extras (which compensated for the lack of a decal sheet I guess).

And I picked this up on eBay recently at a price that would have been rude to refuse.

I've got a week off work, so I'm hoping to make some good progress this week, but with the Mrs still recuperating after a recent operation and Megan off school too, my plans are very much subject to change.

The MiG-21 is certainly proving a popular subject for this GB. Have you had a chance to get this one started yet Ant?

Hi Col, yes I've made a start just haven't had a chance to update the thread with photos.Hopefully will post something later.
