wallyinoz
I was lucky (?) enough to pick up a half built basket-case Heller 707 kit for next to nothing ( a swap actually). It really wasn't a nice experience type build / restoration but I got there in the end. Home made decals, home made stand I notice on the pics I have a "flash enhanced" top wing decal silvering problem! strangely not evident in plain light!
JWM
Nice result! That must be a huge model - the papers in background are A4? J-W

mitchem
That's special. :thumbsup2: I've had one hidden in the loft but have been too chicken to start it. (....still am !) Thanks for posting
Turbofan
No sign of any difficulties there, Wally, nice recovery. I hate renovating old models, especially ones built badly by someone else. Interesting livery I've never seen it on a 707 before. Does the natural metal continue up the tail or is it just shadow? Cheers, Ian

I've had one hidden in the loft but have been too chicken to start it.(....still am !) Get on with it Michael, BOAC one for the comp would be a winner I reckon...!!Keith
wallyinoz
thanks guys Nice result! That must be a huge model - the papers in background are A4? J-W yep the pages are A4. I was hoping this model would fit in my cabinets (my EC-135N just fits) but alas the B707s extra length and wingspan are too great to fit it in regardless of pose / position on stand
stringbag
That's a beauty Wally. Very elegant in that livery as well. Chris.
MikeW
If that started out as a badly built basket case, and was not an enjoyable restoration, then you clearly have excess talent and patience in droves. She looks great - beyond great. Did these used to fly into Perth? Cheers, Mike
Team Aer Lingus
Beautiful finish captures the classic lines of the 707 brilliantly thanks for sharing Eamonn
