Sorry to jump in again so soon, but could you explain this 'vortex staining'? I've not come across this phenomena before and with an S.2 lined up for the future don't want to miss anything important out of the research.

Thanks,

Tony

Hi Tony no worries..vortex staining occurs on the wing....see the little vortex wings on top of the wing? They disturb and channel the airflow..which can cause moisture etc to develop therefore causing subtle streaks behind them

Oh yes that is looking proper sweet. All that extra detailing really gives it depth, and love the little vortex stains....urm that's not meant to sound rude by the way..

That's great Richard. Thanks for explaining that! :)

Sorry, I've only just caught up, wish I'd seen it sooner !

Holy smoke, you've really gone to town on this one ! I struggled to maintain my sanity building a standard one; this is something else. And I have to say that the colour scheme is making me wonder about getting another one..... :hmmm:

Very nice

Cheers

Excellent work which proves that the Airfix kit can be beaten.

Couple of questions though..

Would the ejector seats still have the single firing handle at that stage in her life?

Underwing serial style looks too square but since Buccaneers should be grey and white ( ) I am open not too sure.

I have two of these, (fairly) shortly to be built as an S1 and an S2, both RN. Thanks for proving so comprehensively that despite the horror stories you hear about this kit, it can still be made to look superb. Great job.

Hi,

unfortunately I can't see the pictures of your work...have you abandoned it or is it now finished ?

I've got a Bucc on my stash and I would have liked to have some tips... Have you got any pictures left?

Looks like Photobucket has struck again - last time I looked at your post I could see pictures so assume they have only disappeared in last day or so? - your work has plenty of admirers so how about restoring the pictures with different image host?- a lot of work I know but we would love to see them all again.
