Vacum Forming machine anyone?

Kudos for "creating this", guys but its hardly an "invention" its just another variant of one these but looking at it, one that may be able to almost make 1/72 kits.

If you look closely, you don't get a lot for your money: basically the heater and a forming jig. Look on the link and scroll down and you'll see it connected to a vacuum cleaner. At least the Chinese cheapies throw in a vacuum creation system but on the other look less than inspiring in terms of build quality

I'll pass on this as well, it seems you're paying for the very sexy styling and very basic functionality, and of course, the thrill of "Kickstarting" which seems to be a cross between playing roulette and eBay..Remember you're not actually "buying it" as Kickstarter projects often vanish into the ether with your hard earned like this or this

I use a dentists' vac former.

Bought new off ebay for under £100

Max vac-ing size is about 100mm x 100mm ~ not very big, but good for canopies or engine cowls and that sort of thing.

It may have been you that I was thinking of then, I remember seeing it being used on a Airfix P38 work in progress thread.
