Epeeman
All, My second car (I normally build aircraft - mostly WW1 stuff) model to date. A simple OOB build and brush painted using the body colour supplied in the starter set. Not a bad kit although the 'instructions' are not very helpful meaning you spend time trying to work out from diagram of parts where each bit actually goes. This is by no means perfect and my brush painting (I always brush paint all my models) could have been a bit smoother. Artist oils were used (burnt umber over ochre acrylic base) to try and simulate wooded dashboard. Regards Dave
Bodmin
Nice build. I've often wondered what those Airfix car starter kits turn out like.
Tripod
I had the same problem with the instructions. Fortunately, as I was building mine, someone advertised the original TR4A instructions on eBay, and photographed both sides of the sheet. The originals had the same illustrations, but with step-by-step instructions written in English. The suspension assembly was a lot easier with those, rather than trying to interpret line drawings of scattered parts with a few arrows.
Natter
What do you mean 'nothing special'? That's a little corker.
Epeeman
Thank you all kindly. Regarding the hopeless instructions - I searched on google images viewing how others got it together. A picture speaks a thousand words ....... Regards Dave
