JackG
The kit was HR Model's 72nd scale Hanriot HD.2, along with a PE set from 72minute, and Small Stuff resin engine (Clerget 9B/Z). WiP thread can be found here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234998652-hrmodel-172-hanriot-hd2-floatplane/ These seaplanes were stationed at CAM Dunkirk (Centre de Aviation Maritime de Dunkerque) beginning October 1917. The squadron's badge was the martlet bird, and they were tasked with protecting the harbour as well as escorting recon aircraft. regards, Jack

kiwitrogg
Wow that's impressive ! I've just been working on an Albatross D.V. and was thinking that even at 1/48 scale it was a bit small and fiddly. I'm blown way by what you've achieved here. Cheers Gaz
JackG
Hello Michael, GrzeM, ForestFan, J-W, Polo, Scimitar, woody37, Carius, batcode, Bear Paw,stevej60, Mark4700, Xan, and Gaz -thank you all for those kind comments, very much appreciated. Very nice indeed! I do like your first photograph. I had to look at it twice to make sure it wasn't your reference photo. (or have I got that wrong?) It is a photo-shopped image, but I really should have investigated the background image a bit more. Maybe some of you have recognized it, but the location is Brightlingsea Harbour. Oh well, this Hanriot has landed a bit off course to visit some British friends. regards, Jack
