Ignacio
Hi fellow modellers! Iwould like to introduce you my recently completed Cessna A-37B Dragonfly. This is a simple and straightforward kit to build. It has some fitting problems, but that´s fine. I added some Eduard PE to add a nice touch on the details. The only problem with this kit are the decals.... the worst i have ever used. i tried to improve them by painting over the silvering they left. I hope you like it and every comment is welcomed! Best regards form Uruguay. Ignacio

jean
What a fantastic little model! You've done a great job. I have the deepest suspicion of Academy decals, and that is the reason I haven't even tried to build this model. There must be some aftermarket A-37 decals somewhere! Congrats. I bought a Print Scale decal sheet, only to realize that the aircraft depicted is the same than the Academy and that some decals are wrong in size. Not usable except for some stencils. Anyway, you can still use the Academy ones over a very glossy paint. Thanks for your comments!!! Ignacio

Stephan
Great job on that plane, congratulations. I really like these paint schemes. Can you tell something about what kind of colours you have used and how you did the masking between the camo patterns? Cheers Stephan

Ignacio
Great job on that plane, congratulations. I really like these paint schemes. Can you tell something about what kind of colours you have used and how you did the masking between the camo patterns? Cheers Stephan Hi Stephan! I used a mix of paints on this one. Camouflage gray is Testors acrylic, tan is Gunze acrylic, and greens are Testors enamels. I tried to simulate a subtle satin finish airbrushing with Future. To paint the camouflage pattern I used Uhu tac (it´s like Blu tac). Thanks for your comments and interest! Best regards. Ignacio
DennisTheBear
Beautifully done! It has always amazed me that this aircraft could fly with all those stores hanging off the wings. Dennis The Bear
Darby
Very nice indeed. It's a nice little kit let down by Academy's nasty decals. They do take some fighting or aftermarket replacements.

Dennis The Bear They had to make it capable to carry all those stores because they realized that the plane was too ugly without them.... best regards Ignacio
