delta7
Inspired by Bengalensis build when taking part in the helicopter group build a while ago I decided to give this a bash. Its not as neat as his- ( see here http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234941132-148-sea-king-sh-3d-66/page-1) but I still like how it turned out, apart from touching up the white which never turns out neat for me. I have fond memories of building the old 1/72 airfix kit with the basket and so this is a trip down memory lane Hasegawa Kit Old 66 Decals scratch build cameras and aerials beltcher bits resin for the sponsons ( which were a mare to line up ) Humbrol acrylic spray paints Eduard cockpit etch and airways etch for tail fold Edited May 15, 2016 by delta7
John_W
Nice build. I do like Navy birds from the days before low viz grey.
29Triplex
delta7 - I too (as I suppose many others do!) share your fond memories of building the old airfix kit (back in the '70's). You have done a great job on this build, and thanks for bringing back those memories for me

Mark4700
Very nice. I remember the old Aifix kit too, built a couple of them in my youth.
pacificmustang
Great job Delta 7, looks lovely. Would a couple of 48 astronauts standing in front of it set it off, or just look weird, seeing as it is all folded up? Either way, I like it Bruce

delta7
Great job Delta 7, looks lovely. Would a couple of 48 astronauts standing in front of it set it off, or just look weird, seeing as it is all folded up? Either way, I like it Bruce Bruce Thanks for the suggestion, I usually do put figures in my helicopters, like here and was going to do this and scratch the interior but time is limited now so went for easier build
