Robert
Over on Z5 Raymond from Kinetic Models mentions "For the TOMCAT, I believe it will be answered by your favor maker soon. So, check it out!" I wonder if it could be from Tamiya as they seem to be everyone's favorite manufacturer. Parabat
IF it is a Tamiya new tool (why would Kinetic advertise a rival's product?) then I would be VERY interested to see what they do with it... I think there will always be a strong market for Tomcats and if they can make it accurate, detailed, correct time wise for detailed changes etc etc they would certainly have a kit that would outsell the only two viable competitors kits on the market at the moment. Phantom726
IF that was an announcement of a new Kinetic F-14, I see a strange pattern forming here as AMK have also announced a new F-14 series. Kfir and Magister ring a bell?
Laurent
why would Kinetic advertise a rival's product? Reminder: Raymond Chung doesn't only manufacture kits (Kinetic) but he also sells other manufacturers kits (Lucky Model).

DaveJL
If Tamiya make an F-14 kit in 1/48 that is anything like their F-16, i'd be bankrupt!
Giorgio N
A new Tamiya Tomcat has been the dream of many for many years and there have been many rumours. It would sure be something Tomcat fans would welcome with open arms !
Homebee
Source: http://www.scalemates.com/products/product.php?id=559650 Rumor or hoax? Scalemates is usually considered as a well-informed source. Tamiya (should) is to release a new tool 1/48th Grumman F-14 Tomcat kit. First boxing ref.61114 Release 2014. Maybe more news at the Makuhari's "ALL JAPAN MODEL & HOBBY SHOW 2014" (26-27/09/2014). To be followed. V.P. Robert
I hope it comes at a reasonable price but I suspect it will be at the higher end. Anyway still looking forward to it if it is true. Robert
Filler
This could be legendary! I wonder which version they'll do first. I fancy it will be around the 70 quid mark in the UK.

Freedom Models Martin
I believe that the rumours are true. Tamiya is set to reveal their new tool F-14 this year. My contacts in the east have stated that two well known manufacturers have now shelved their own plans for the Tomcat due to the rumours.

Stephen
Roger, don't tell my kidneys, but one of them will be up for sale soon... For a lot of guys, if their spouses/partners find out about this it'll be other body parts in danger. Stephen
