FG2Si
Here's some pics of my most recent completion. It's Spitfire MH434 as seen in the film Battle of Britain. I used a combination of custom paint masks and decals from Fundekäls for the markings.
FG2Si
A couple more... In addition to the decals, I used Barracudacast's cockpit door and tires, RB Productions PE rad screens and Eduard seat belts. All in all, a very straightforward build. IanC
First film I ever went to the cinema to see. Fantastic looking Spitfire, really a great looking model. You forgot your film quote! Never mind, I'll insert one for you: "The engine's overheating and so am I. Either we stand down or blow up." Any excuse...
FG2Si
Thanks everyone! It was a great build and leaving out most of the engine saved a bunch of time too. So I now have a Spitfire that was typecast, a blue one (PR XI), a pink one (FR IX), one with invasion stripes (XIV) and one with nose art (IX). I just need to add a silver one (XVI), one with in-flight refreshments (Type XXX mod), a blue and grey one (VII), and of course, one with a shark mouth (VIII).
