Quickboost Fw-190 cowling correction?

Heelo,

I have bought a correction set for Revell's 1/72 Fw-190A-8 (Quickboost set No. 72161)

I have compared it to the kit forward cowling ring (which has received some criticism for its shape), and there is no discernible difference (?)
Even the radius of the opening is almost the same (the difference is less than 0.5mm)

So, given that there is no difference between the two (visible to the naked eye), my question is - what does this replacement actually correct?

I have also heard that their 1/72 tail unit for the Zvezda Ju88G is a 1:1 copy of the kits unit and not an upgrade/fix at all.

If that is true, I do not know

I have that somewhere. If I remember it correctly, it is a copy of the Hasegawa tail, not the zvezda one. It is in any case very different to the zvezda part.
