Bismarck 1/200 Bollards

I'm currently building Trumpeters Bismarck. Can anyone suggest where I can get bollards made up, preferably in brass to replace the ones in the kit. There are two sizes.

I think the Pontos, and Mk1 Designs sets have brass bollards in them. Mk1 do smaller sets so you don't have to by the full deluxe set.

I've got the MK1 deluxe set, unfortunately it doesn't have the bollards

Ah, sorry, thought it did. How about buying some brass or copper wire if the correct thickness, then cutting it to the appropriate length?

That's one option, but the bollard has a slightly larger diameter top to the base. Some brass rod with a slightly larger washer glued to the top would probably look ok. Need to buy a small lathe !!!!

You could peen the top of the rod before each cut using a punch. Although you would need a vice.

Do MDC still do their beginners' kit for resin casting? Make one pair in each size, use them as masters and you'd cast the rest off in an hour or less.

Pontos do include turned bollards in their sets.

It's an expensive way to go if you're already spent a significant outlay on Mk1 though.
