JackG
I'll probably be doing a Dingo from the Calgary tank regiment, as next year August will be the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe raid. regards, Jack
Kallisti
Since in the last MiB GB I did the Bandai Showmans Engine (which won silver at Telford!) I was thinking of doing this for the next one...
Pin
Quite unsuitable dates as I co-host three other GBs that overlap I will nevertheless try to come up with something sweet and British, Mk.1 male maybe

Arniec
I am thinking of doing the 1/48 Airfix Javelin. I have done a few things on it, but far below the 25% rule. Cheers,

POTKC
What would be better - an Airfix BAC 1-11, perhaps in Virgin or British Airways colors, or an F-RSIN Bristol Britannia?

Any recommendations for the kit in 1:35th?? Regards Joss I am not a expert, but there are three modern kits. One is from AFV the second from bronco and the other from Miniart. The rest is older and not very easy to build. There is also a kit from Dragon, but that is the VM kit and it's a ehhhhhh bad kit to build. For a comparison between the ATV and Miniart then take a look here : http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/valentine/valentine2.html For a review of the Bronco one here.http://www.track-link.com/reviews/3069 For all Valentine kits you can strole thrue here.https://www.scalemates.com/search-solr.php?fkSECTION[]=Kits&q=Valentine I hope it helps. JackG
About the Valentine, I do recall the one hiccup with the second release from AFV, that is the desert boxed version. The road wheels are of the earlier spoked pattern, which don't match the kit decal markings. You can obtain the proper dished style from Accurate Armour. https://accurate-armour.com/our-products/135th-accessories/a069 regards, Jack

SleeperService
I've been doing some research and Messers Gasoline have released their Churchill Mk.III. So my planned Churchill with Snake stands... ...well not exactly. The vehicle we all know as Churchill with Snake is actually a Churchill Wurlitzer. The 25 tubes on each side were launch tubes for 'Flying Bangalore' a rocket propelled bangalore fused to explode in mid-air ahead of the vehicle to detonate mines by concussion. Churchill Tank power Vol I has photos of Banner showing the arrangement at the rear. When you look at the photo of the crew loading a bangalore the collar that acts as a gas seal is clearly visible. I always wondered how they were removed when required now the Scales have been struck from my eyes.
Col.
Now this is what we need in the GB. A goodly measure of British ingenuity and eccentricity all rolled into one wild package and strapped to a tank. Nice find @SleeperService
