Only just seen this, late to the party as always, but this is the second build article I have found on the Flying Sub, this one looks fantastic.

It is a bit late now but the other build article I found the chap had used rechargeable batteries and what he had also done was to make the door at the back, between the exhaust outlets, open and then he could attach a recharging lead plus also allow the client to flick switch to turn the lighting on an off.

It is now complete! All told there are 40 LEDs in this model and with all the wiring and 8 AA batteries it weighs quite a bit. I had to replace the rather flimsy stand that came with the kit with one I adapted from an old Airfix 1:24 stand

I've been away for a bit, ' had to check back. I think this turned out great. Interior lighting is bril. great job.
