Alan Sannazzaro
I've noticed several C-46 Commando's this week show up, so thought I'd share mine. I finished it a few years back, and it's still one of my favourites. The Williams Bros kit I felt needed a bit of work. Here's some of the mods I did: -Scratch built engine mounts -Scratch built open cowl flaps -Scratch built exhausts, all the way to the back of the radial engine -Thinned out and opened up cooling holes in the cowlings -Scratch built ignition harness for Quickboost upgraded engines -Propellers were shortened Marauder propellers -Scratch built wheel wells- these were non existent -Scratch built tail wheel section (I used sanded down spitfire wheels for the tail wheel) -Main wheels were resin casts of the Valom Albermarle wheels, home made -Lights had bulbs put in place -Side windows were reverse mounted, then sanded to match fuselage- it was very hard to then have to drill holes in each one for the machine guns to mount through -Vac formed canopy -Scratch built cockpit interior -Scratch built aerials and antennas all over the place. -Full rescribe -Homemade decals. I'm sure there was more I did to it, but that gives you an idea to the work put into it. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Alan
Radleigh
Lovely work Alan, I'm a big fan of your work and I bet I'm not alone in saying that. Another master piece... What else do you have hidden away?
kev67
Great build, for some reason I prefer the C-46 to the Dakota

stevehnz
A beautiful piece of work on that Alan & in a similar scheme as I'd like to do mine come the day. I'm guessing markings were from generic sheets? Steve.
Tzulscha
Very pretty. Nice clean job. Tough kit too... I always thought the Commando looked like a hotrod. Somebody needs to do a kit in 1/48th scale......Like I need anymore projects... Bravo sir! Bra-vo.
Parabat
Nothing like going Commando! A great model, I like the camo and you've done a super job of this iconic workhorse.
WildeSau75
Nice - indeed seems to be the week of the C-46 - and yours is as nice as the others we have seen. Like the subtle weathering. Cheers, Michael

Ratch
Looks good, but what scale is it, and does it represent an aircraft from a particular unit/theatre/period?
Mountain goat
Superb work, especially the wonderful paint job. (Seeing the first pic I thought I was looking at the current Brazilian air force scheme - but no 😁). Jay

Caerbannog
Stunning build - although your list puts me a bit off to buy one (I am freequently considering to add a Comando in BOAC scheme) ;-) René
