Cheers Francis, So here we go, Ambush scheme I think..

Sprayed free hand using Tamiya paints and an Iwata CMC airbrush.

Still a lot of tweaking to do yet.

Horror!!! It isn't red brown - is a light rust

Hi Doctorgaz,

I used the "Chocobraun" instead of this which seems a more serious color. Dan has only used it as a base here.

Magic Dan, looking great, I'll be taking a very stealthy peek at at this build when I get around to building that humongous lump of metal in 1/16th scale,(yes, it's ordered and I wasn't even murdered by Mrs. Gremlin56) :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo::analintruder::coolio:

Missed this, it was used just to vary the pre shade Gaz rather than the top coat :)

And cheers for all the comments all, still a long way to go :)

Long way to go it might be, but looking good all the same.

Nice bit of careening and finish colours.

Surprising what can happen in a short time and your cracking on now!!!!.

Lovely paintwork.....Are you modelling a particular vehicle? :hmmm:

Not sure yet, I was thinking of one of the Jagdtigers that surrendered at Iserlohn. The black and white film of them coming in doesn't really give much away in terms of cam and markings as the were covered in tree foliage. I stayed at Iserlohn a few times as the old German army camp was turned into a British military hospital.

I know I've got some stills from that film somewhere on my PC, but I can't seem to find them right now.....When I do I'll post any likely candidates if that will help? :shrug:

Considering the speed at which you are progressing I suspect you will very probably have a result before I do! :winkgrin:

PS - Found this online: http://worldwartwozone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6421-jagdtiger/page-3

PPS - I believe this may be Bovington's Jagdtiger as captured:

& as new(ish):
