very welcome, and of course more than relevant for Peru!

(as it would be for Hungary, Lybia, Iraq, and probably some others!)

I do hope that worldwide availability will be good...

be careful with the KH Fitters,.... they might be hard to find soon :(

ROFL talk about "too little, too late" 😂

Eh... seems a bit harsh.

Imagine doing all the prep work needed in designing AM parts and being surprised like the rest of us that your targeted manufacturer decides to pull the plug.
By releasing this anyway, at least they can recoup some of the investment.

The original kit release was in 2017. In today's world of small production runs and smaller companies coming and going, the right saying is "strike the iron while it's hot".

Frankly, I'm surprised it took so long for someone to announce this conversion.

Of course, the KP kit is still available as is the Hobby Boss.

As is the KH one. Hannants have over 47 of them at the time of writing this...

Except, you know, we broke up 😂  Still, plenty available on this side of the Channel, tho the prices have come up a few euros over the weekend.

Hello gentlemen,
I will am working on a 1/48 Sukhoi Su-22M-3K conversion kit for the Kitty Hawk Fitters (will also fit the HB, for which I am working on a frontal fuselage correction set) which will allow you build a Fitter J, or either the twin seat Fitter G or H.
Decals are on the pipeline, as well as a major conversion for the Fitter F.
Here is the link, I plan to bring a limited number of sets to the Nationals at Las Vegas so if you are interested in one come say hi to the Joe's Models tables.

:)

Meaning wings, landing gear and the center fuselage barrel stay the same... wonder if the KH 3part fuselage design is of advantage here!!

Very niceand promising!

Hope there will be a distributor / vendor here in Europe....

Maybe SBS models or HAD models from Hungary... Hungary exclusively use the R-29 powered Su-22M3 Fitter after all!

Expensive and therefore valuable moulds do not simply die normally ;)

I hope at least!

What is dead, meaning retired and out of service overall are the early Su-22 versions! But that dies not preclude them being modelled

What scheme are you going to do Werner? I managed to pick up a second hand KH kit the other day, will be my second but think I'll do another Polish example.

for a Polish one of course this conversion makes no sense at all :D  :(

not sure yet, but I have 2 conversions, and I definitely want a Hungarian Fitter... maybe an Iraqi or Syrian one as well, or Lybian, or..... Peruian...

I also have to think about the future ans a possible M or M2... :)

cheers!

Just been on Vespa Model Kits FB page and they seem to be suggesting there is moves for the Kitty Hawk Fitters to be re-released by another company, suspected that would happen but good news to hear nonetheless!

I'll maybe need to get one of these conversion sets!

Ha, ha, no I'm building mine straight out the box, no conversion. Sounds like you may need a few more kits and sets!👌👍
