steve4428
Anyone tell me why I am still getting a milky powdery look on my Canberra PR9 after using this varnish??? I gave it a good shake, and painted it in light coats, however, when it dried, it did have a Matt finish, but with white streaks, which would not wash off with warm water! Any suggestions/help gratefully appreciated. Regards Steve
emlra
The white streaks are probably the matting agent, needs a lot more stirring......shaking just wont 'cut it', what to do about it now......not sure..that's another problem!
Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
I'd recommend investing £8~15 on an electric paint stirrer. A few seconds will see anything properly stirred and thus avoid this sort of problem across the board of whatever you use. Otherwise, I've found Humbrol Matt Clear to be pretty good stuff - although admittedly I'm spraying it, and then after the above electric stirring treatment. dubster72
Or make your own from a nasal hair trimmer courtesy of your local Poundshop 6 years on, it's still going strong!
PenquinTony
A spray of clear gloss will make the white go away.if done carefully you might even end up with the look you wanted otherwise its back to square one and a fine mist of matt again.
